The Aureate System is unraveling. As the Second, only Alex has the power to restore it. Or destroy it all. In the Continent, it is a time of change. The Aureate System is weakening. Dungeons are cracking open. Monsters roam the land. The status quo of the past hundreds of years that saw the rise of the League of Free Republics is set to burst as hidden forces make their move. Alex doesn't know where he fits into all of this, but he needs to figure out fast. Taken into this new world, he meets a Chaser crew and quickly becomes embroiled in a desperate fight for survival. He will face a siege and famine, dungeons and assassination, triumph and betrayal. And that’s just the first book. Oh, and he's some kind of chosen one, apparently. But by the sound of it, that doesn't make him the hero of the story. On the advice of some of my readers, and to appease the algorithm gods, I will be posting this story from now on in a new fiction.
