Stellar Drift [A GameLit Sci-Fi Fantasy]
novel
In the boundless Deep Ethereal Sea, magic and metal mix. Where ships sail on starlight and sorcery hums through the engines, Elavanna Sionnadel is a half-elf mercenary, burned by her Fighter Sect for unknown reasons, left drifting between the living and the damned. After a failed infiltration mission leaves her stranded on a dead asteroid, salvation comes in the form of an ancient, unknown entity. To survive, she forges a pact that sears her soul, binding her to an Eldritch being of impossible power. Now potentially on the run from her previous allies and haunted by the whispers of her new master, Ela claws her way through the sprawling station-cities of the Cosmic Sea. Mercenary work, black-market magic, and uneasy friendships will have to be enough to keep her afloat. But something is stirring in the Ethereal Deep, a corruption that warps flesh and metal alike, and it might just be unstoppable. As Ela studies forbidden magic under a dragon who wears a human face, and finds an unlikely family among street urchins and smugglers, she learns that the only way to end the infection... might be to embrace the thing she fears becoming.
